June 9th First Market of 2013 Season

Hello All!

I am very excited about this market season!

Opening Day Park Silly Market 2012

The first Park Silly Market is this Sunday from 10am-5pm...

I am in the same spot as last year - 

3 booths down from 7th Avenue and Main Street

 in Old Town Park City.

The two new design lines that I have added to my existing 

'Buddha' and 'Song Bird' series - 5x5 inch prints - 

are the 'Lotus' and 'Sacred Hand' series...

both appear in a number 

of variations on each theme - 

which I love to do! 

All of the prints feature 

simple inspirational mantras 

and are mounted on canvas...

I have hand signed the back of each one.

The lotus is a beautiful plant and carries great symbolism.

It sprouts from deep in the mud -

growing toward the light 

and blossoming in the rays of the sun. 

The flower closes and sinks in the the water at night 

then rises and opens again at dawn.

The blooming of the lotus flower symbolizes 

our life journey with all its positive and negative experiences...

and the openness and wisdom we gather from those experiences 

while walking our path.

My sacred hand art is inspired by 

one of the earliest symbols humans designed. 

It can be traced back to ancient Mesopotamia...

and is a universal sign of blessings, 

power, strength and protection...

most notably against the 'evil eye'. 

The evil eye was a malicious stare that was 

believed to cause illness, unluckiness-even death!
